Kessingland is a large village on the Suffolk coast between Lowestoft and Southwold, and it's one of our closest regular working areas. The village grew significantly in the post-war decades with bungalow development, and there are also a number of older flint cottages and Victorian properties near the church and original village core. Coastal exposure is a genuine factor here — Kessingland sits on an exposed stretch of North Sea shoreline, and roof tiles, ridge mortar, and flashings take a battering over time. Flat roof bungalows from the 1960s and 70s are a common job for us here, as the original felt systems have long since reached the end of their service life.

Kessingland is home to Africa Alive wildlife park and has a significant holiday chalet and static caravan park on its coast, but the permanent residential population is largely made up of retired and semi-retired homeowners who have lived in the area for many years.
A mix of post-war bungalows (many from the 1960s and 70s), older flint and brick cottages near the village centre, and some more recent residential development. Flat roofs are notably common on the bungalow stock.
